Location
Being situated just a mile from the M6 motorway the Crooklands Hotel is ideally situated for use as a base by those wishing to explore both Cumbria - the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The bustling market town of Kendal is just a few miles away, whilst Lake Windermere is around 15 miles away and the picturesque village of Ambleside is approximately 20 miles from the hotel.
The hotel is also well placed for those looking to stopover on route to Scotland, as Glasgow can be reached within a two hour drive of the hotel, which would quite nicely break up a long journey.
There is a host of things to see in Cumbria including well known lakes such as, Ullswater, Windermere, Derwentwater & Coniston. Famous mountains include Skiddaw, Scafell, Helvellyn, Coniston Old Man and Great Gable to name just a few. For those exploring by car you will find a number of stunning mountain passes to sample including, Kirkstone, Wrynose and Hardknott all of which offer superb views.
The area offers endless activities from walking and cycling to fishing and horse riding. For those visitors wishing to play golf you will find a number of excellent courses within easy reach of the hotel including, Kendal, Grange-over-Sands, Windermere & Kirkby Lonsdale.

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36, taking the A65 heading towards Skipton, Kirkby Lonsdale. after about 100 yards you will come to a mini roundabout where you need to take the first exit left towards Endmoor/Crooklands. After about a mile you will see the Crooklands Hotel on the right hand side of this road.
