‘I felt truly pampered with my overnight stay at Crooklands. The team greeted me like a long-lost pal, full of cuddles and strokes. Such a treat to share the bedroom with my owners – usually it’s the kennels for me! – with enough space for my dog bed to be placed right beneath the radiator, so cosy and warm. There was even a bowl and biscuits waiting for me.
Dinner was a great crack in the Inn, sitting with my owners and their newly made friends – managed to sneak a few stray chips as well!
Overall a 10/10. Highly recommend to all my friends in the park.’

There are many dog friendly hotels in Cumbria and this is what we hope any dog that visits us might say. The Crooklands offers easy access to the Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales with locals, hikers and overnight stops continuously walking through our doors. We want to ensure that everyone is welcome, including your four-legged friends.
We welcome dogs into the bar area of the Inn, the perfect place to enjoy coffee, a pint or something to eat with plenty of space for your companion.
We have six ground floor, dog friendly rooms – three classic, two deluxe and one deluxe family room – dedicated to pets and their owners. Inviting every member of the family to enjoy breakfast and dinner in the bar/snug area of The Inn.
Our location offers plenty of short walks for you both to enjoy taking in spectacular views across fields and hills and paths that meander along the Lancaster Canal.
Prices for a dog stay are £20 per stay up to 2 dogs staying per room. Each receiving their own goodie bag, dog bed and bowl, if required.
