We don’t do weddings! Well…we certainly don’t do weddings in the more traditional sense.
What we do, say ‘I do’ to are weddings and civil partnerships that are unique and suitably special for the happy couple to remember, always.
A wedding celebration that is led by you – informal, relaxed, fun and outside the usual mould.
We start with a blank canvas, inviting you to sketch out your vision for the perfect day or weekend celebrations. Menus, music, flowers, decorations and themes can all be determined by you.

We have two banqueting suites located on the first floor with views across Westmorland and Lancaster Canal. The Hayloft offers a vaulted ceiling, with exposed beams and flooring built for dancing! whilst the adjoining Westmorland room is perfect for larger groups. Both can accommodate up to 60 guests, giving an overall capacity of 120 with an interconnecting welcome foyer.
The Cumbrian Suite is a more intimate banqueting suite catering for 40 guests on the ground floor with a private entrance.
At present, our venue is not licenced to hold civil wedding ceremonies. However, after all the paperwork is complete, we’re certainly here to get the celebrations started!
The Hotel has 31 bedrooms for close family or relatives traveling from afar. We also have a private 5 bedroom house within the grounds for the bridal party to enjoy exclusively.
